External Staircase - Clapham
The complete overhaul of a weather damaged external staircase.
The Process
eNQUIRY/THe BRIEF
We were commissioned to restore a very unsafe and rusted external staircase in Clapham. This involved completely rebuilding the staircase from scratch, restoring sections and weatherproofing the entire structure.
Manufacture
The staircase was surveyed and the extent of the damage noted. We agreed with the client that a complete overhaul was needed. Everything was manufactured in the workshop and then installed onsite.
DETAILING
We created a safe and hardwearing staircase, fabricating the stairs from Durbar plate to provide non-slip grip, as well as creating new handrails and fixing everything securely in place.
INSTALLATION
The staircase was left in a prime condition, ready for the client to employ decorators to apply the final coat.
The staircase now complies with current building regulations.
The client was happy with the finished project and commended the team.
